Aluminium Extrusion Press

Aluminium Extrusion Process
The extrusion process transforms heated aluminium billets into precision-shaped profiles by forcing material through a steel die under immense hydraulic pressure.
Billet Heating
Aluminium billets are pre-heated to 400–520 °C in a gas or induction furnace, reaching the optimal plasticity for extrusion.
Billet Loading
The heated billet is transferred to the press container. A log shear cuts billets to the required length for each die setup.
Extrusion
The hydraulic ram forces the softened aluminium through a precision-machined steel die, forming the desired cross-sectional profile.
Cooling & Stretching
Extruded profiles are quenched (air or water), then stretched on a puller/stretcher table to correct any twist or bow.
Sawing & Aging
Profiles are cut to finished lengths by a precision saw, then artificially aged in an oven (T5/T6 temper) to achieve final mechanical properties.
