A scrap metal shear is a heavy-duty hydraulic machine that cuts bulky ferrous and non-ferrous scrap — such as steel beams, rebar, plates, pipes, rails and HMS — into short, uniform pieces suitable for steel mills, foundries and shipping containers.
Material is loaded into the cutting box, pressed and compacted by the side-wing and top-lid cylinders, and then sheared by the main cutting cylinder at 320–1,600 tons of cutting force. Finished pieces are typically 200–800 mm long, ready for direct charging into EAF furnaces or for export sale at premium HMS 1&2 prices.

• Compact shears (Q43-400 / 630): 3–8 t/h, ideal for yards and small recyclers
• Mid-size gantry shears (Q91-800 / 1000): 10–20 t/h for medium scrap processors
• Heavy-duty container shears (Q91-1200 / 1600): 25–60 t/h for steel mills, shipyards and large ELV plants.
Fully automatic models support continuous 24/7 operation with PLC control and remote monitoring.
